The war on drugs:
1. Complete failure.
2. Oxymoron.
3. Decriminalize it, gets rid of illegal market.
4. Tax it, fund rehabilitation.
5. Violence breeds violence.
6. Non-violent offenders convicted of drug offences do not benefit from prison.
7. Criminal records prevent ex-convicts from ever getting a job, thus more illegal actions.
8. Return to prison, numerous times.
9. An addiction is not a criminal act; it is a health problem.
10. Drugs are available in prison.
Drugs, gangs, and politics:
1. Government & policing bodies are handing over $billions on a silver platter.
2. Political reasoning to keep drugs illegal.
3. Gang violence: huge incentive to use harsher and acquire more police.
4. Creating a militaristic state to “protect” the innocent.
5. Racism and the cycle of suppression go hand in hand.
Imperialism:
1. Overtake and replace with own population.
2. Generations of abuse and denial of rights.
3. No such thing as affirmative action, “free” education, tax grants.
4. Creation of stereotypes, racial profiling, and generally horrible assumptions.
5. Cultural genocide.
